The California-Spain Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce Juan Verde. He was appointed to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia at the U.S. Department of Commerce by President Barack Obama in December 2009.
In this capacity, he leads the Department of Commerce’s efforts to help solve trade policy and market access issues facing U.S. firms seeking to grow their business operations in Europe and Eurasia. He is additionally responsible for developing and recommending policies and programs with respect to U.S. economic and commercial relations with 52 countries in Europe and Eurasia. Mr. Verde has modeled his Office into a one-stop shop for companies looking for export assistance.
